You are finally 30! Well, some of you may not be happy about it because you think it is old. Your life is just beginning! Those savings tips you learned when you were 20 seem like child’s play now and can actually be revamped. You need new savings tips now because you financial status and worries are different. This is an important decade of your life, and you need important savings tips.
Do Not Rush into Buying a House
The last thing you want to do is pile up debt that you cannot handle quickly. A house comes with a huge payment. You really should not buy a house until you are ready and financially stable. There is much more to a house then just paying a mortgage every month. You will then be responsible for all the little fixes that a house needs over time. You do not want the payments to get out of control. Do what you can handle right now, and work towards getting a great house that you can afford and enjoy.
Insurance Plans
One thing you may not realize when you are younger is that your insurance can really add up. You have been paying insurance for a while now and odds are that you have been paying a good amount of money. You need to always look for better insurance plans that really fit your finances. If you are married, one thing you can do is look to combine your insurance plans with your spouse. You can get a better rate if you have two people on the same health insurance plan. Just make sure you are not giving up any coverage by combining insurance. You need to have the same great coverage no matter what plan you choose.
New Cars
One of the common things to do when looking for new cars is to trade in your old one to the dealership. You actually could get more money by selling your old car instead of doing the trade in. The dealership generally does not give you the best deal on your trade in. You might not be able to get a lot of money if you sell, but it is worth a shot. If may get a great deal.
Buying Things for Your Baby
You might find that you now have a baby. Of course you want to get your child the finest things money can buy. But the best things you can do for your baby is feed your kid, clothe your kid and give them shelter. Do not go overboard on the clothes. Save some money so that you can buy them great things when they get a little older. Look for the great deals.
